Ted Hall’s
Blues Church/Jam

Ted Hall’s Blues Church/Jam is South Austin’s longest running Blues Jam now entering its 13th year. The Jam is hosted by my band "The Blues Machine" . I first started the Blues Jam in January of 1993 & it was held at Gino’s Italian Grill every Sunday night from 6:00pm-8:00pm. In the beginning the Jam was a vehicle for students from my school, "Austin Guitar School", to get a chance to perform in front of people & also play with a band. Our students not only played the Blues, many played Folk, Country, Bluegrass, Pop, Rock, Funk & Jazz. After the students played, Gino’s was typically packed with old South Austin types & so a South Austin style Blues Jam always seemed in order. Over the years this concept has worked great for the students of AGS & the Jam has become an Austin tradition for many of Austin’s greatest musicians. Not only has the jam provided an outlet for aspiring up & coming musicians to perform in front of an audience, Ted Hall’s Blues Church/Jam has filled a void for many of Austin’s finest musicians to hang out, & play the Blues every Sunday night!!!

Come on down & join the fun every Sunday
