The Blues Machine

I formed The Blues Machine in the spring of 2002. The basic idea was to add a horn section also including Harmonica to my band the Pleasure Cats. The big sound of the Horns & Harp not only added a new dimension to the Cats originals songs & cover material, but also helped redefine my musical goals & repertoire. Traditional Texas Blues artists like: T Bone Walker, Gatemouth Brown, Freddie King, Bobby Blue Bland & Albert Collins all had Horn sections. So in the spirit of a Texas tradition, the Blues Machine pays homage to the big sound of Texas Blues & helps keeps the tradition alive. The Blues Machine’s repertoire also includes Chicago Blues, traditional Dixieland, New Orleans Funk & many Jazz standards.

The Blues Machine hosts an open mike Blues Jam every Sunday night featuring many special guests at Gino’s Italian Grill starting @ 8:00pm. The Machine has performed at The Oasis on the Lake, The Alligator Grill South, Shenanigans, Baby Acapulco's, 11th Street Bar, plus many private functions. The Blues Machine is the perfect band for a club date, private party or any type of celebration.
